As for my favourite poet, it must be Li Bai, who is
regarded as the greatest romantic poet of the Tang Dynasty.
Living in the golden age of Chinese poetry, Li Bai is best
known for his rich imagination. Equally impressive is his
free expression of strong feelings.
Li Bai created a large number of wonderful poems
throughout his life, many of which remain popular today.
What I appreciate most are his landscape poems, in which
he conveyed his strong love for nature, friends and the
people. His poems have had a great influence on generations
of poets both in and outside China.
